The Air Tigers Team is a robotics team from Duval High School, a comprehensive science and technology magnet high school in Lanham, Maryland. Our team is always growing and doing exciting projects! Think you would be a good fit? Contact us for more information!
Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit support for STEM education, in 2019 we formed FIRST Robotics team #8197 to provide mentoring and training in robotics projects. Our team of students and mentors has grown since then, all thanks to the technical knowledge and helping hands of this amazing community!
We recruit scientists and engineers from the region to mentor our team to help students improve and learn in the STEAM fields. We work with high school students in under-served communities on projects such as robotics, FRC competitions, Charity Events and much more!
Air Tigers participated in the Greenbelt Labor Day Parade on 08/04/23!
The 2024 FRC season is coming up!
the team is hard at work preparing for the challenge!

Our team has participated in numerous competitive robotics and maker projects, and many have won awards. Students not only learn but have lots of fun working together. Most students who join have little to no experience in robotics but with time find their own place in the very diverse place that is robotics.
