Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit support for STEM education, Airtigers was founded five years ago to expand STEM and service in Prince Georges County with peer mentoring and training in ongoing projects. Our team of students and mentors has grown since then, all thanks to the technical knowledge and helping hands of this amazing community!

We recruit scientists and engineers from the region to with high school students in under-served communities on projects We have been recognized for environmental service, engineering inspiration and youth leadership over the past five years. We look forward to promoting STEM and Youth in 2024 while protecting the Anacostia Watershed

The Airtigers have been able to:
- Donate $6,000 to Ukraine
- Partnered with Greenbelt Rotary we managed to box 75 food boxes thanks to our Thanksgiving food drive.
- Help kids in the DC and MD area to find places to learn about robotics
- Pack up tents and waters for Ukraine
- Food Recovery Leadership for District 7620 and local composting

Our team has participated in numerous competitive robotics and maker projects, and many have won awards. Students not only learn but have lots of fun working together. Most students who join have little to no experience in engineering but with time find their own place in unique service projects.
